18th ASEAN Veteran Union Meeting held in Vientiane

(LPAN) The 18th ASEAN Veteran Union Meeting was hosted by the Lao National Veteran Union held on December 11, 2018 at Donchan Palace Hotel under the chairmanship of the President of the Lao National Veteran Union, Brig. Gen. Somphone Keomixay, and was honorably taken part in by the Lao Minister of Defence, Lt. Gen. Chansamone Chanyalath and there were delegates of Veteran Unions from the 10 ASEAN member countries taking part in.
Honorably addressing to all ASEAN Veteran Union Delegates, the Lao Minister of Defence expressed his warm welcome to them and highly valued for the confidence and trust that the Lao PDR was honorably offered to host the 18th ASEAN Veteran Union Meeting, which he was strongly confident that would build mutual trust and comprehension among all Veteran Unions of ASEAN member countries.
After that the President of the Lao National Veteran Union, Brig. Gen. Somphone Keomixay, on behalf of the chairman of the meeting officially gave inaugural speech expressing appreciation with congratulation to the newly appointed Presidents of Veteran Unions of Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand to the ASEAN Veteran Unions Federation.
