Annual MOU signed by Defence Ministers of Laos andVietnam

(LPAN) On the occasion of Lao Defence Minister attending CLV Defence Ministers Meeting held in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, during December 27-29, 2018, Gen. Chansamone Chanyalath, Defence Minister of Laos held talk with his Vietnamese counterpart, Gen. Ngo Xaun Lick, and signed annual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on comprehensive cooperation between the two armies; Laos-Vietnam on December 28, by the witness of concerning officers from both sides.
The MOU reaffirmed to increase in strengthen traditionally bilateral cooperation and special solidarity between the two nations particularly two armies in exchanging different levels of delegates, cooperating in searching the dead bones of Vietnamese Volunteered Soldiers and Experts who sacrificed their lives on Lao territory during the Indochina War. The Vietnamese side agreed to help build Military Ethnic School for Laos, build up capability for Lao mi8litary officers in different sectors based on mutual agreement.
Gen. Chansamone Chanyalath on behalf of the Lao party-state and government as well as all military personnel expressed his gratitude and sincere thanks to Gen. Ngo Xuan Lick as well as the Vietnamese party-state and government on offering assistance in building up capability to Lao military officers in many different sector over the past years.
Gen. Ngo Xuan Lick also expressed his thanks and confidence to the Lao party-state and government in cooperating all mission in need to keep on strengthening bilateral cooperation and special solidarity between the two nations and armies Vietnam-Laos and strongly believing that the comprehensive cooperation will be strengthened forever.
