MND Stone script laid for Guest House Project building at Viengxay District

(LPAN) On July 20, 2026, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) organized a foundation stone-laying ceremony for the guest house project of the Rural Development Department at Viengxay District, Huaphanh Province. Attendees by Maj. Gen. Siphonexay Khamthongveun, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Department; Mr. Phoutphanh Keovongxay, Secretary of the Huaphanh Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vongphet Bounmany, Secretary of the Viengxay District Party Committee; representatives from the provincial military Headquarters, district military, district public security, the project management team, invited guests, and relevant taking in.
The building measures 40x100 meters, two-story building with in 18 month construction period, undertaken by SPL Company Limited. This project will not only establish a physical infrastructure but also hold profound political, military, and national security significance. It represents the implementation of the Party's comprehensive national defense and public security strategy, strengthening national defense and security.
The selection of Viengxay District as the location for this guest house is a continuation of noble traditions and an enhancement of the close relationship making it even stronger between the army and the people.
