Khammouane and Ha Tinh-Quang Chi Border Military Headquarters review their cooperation

(LPAN) A meeting between a delegation from Khammouane Provincial Military Headquarters (Laos) and a delegation from Ha Tinh-Quang Chi Border Military Headquarters (Vietnam) was held on August 6, 2026, in Ha Tinh, Vietnam. The meeting was led by Col. Bounleath Bouphavanh, Military Chief Commander of Khammouane Provincial Military Headquarters, and Col. Bui Hong Thanh, Military Chief Commander of Ha Tinh Provincial Border Military Headquarters and Col.Triang Thanh Binh, Military Chief Commander of Quang Chi Border Military Headquarters, and there were representatives from both sides taking part in.
At the meeting, both sides had reviewed the achievement of cooperation and exchange experience by re-evaluating mutual cooperation in different fields over the past year and approved a further plan. The two sides agreed to further continue exchange information, exchanging and coordinating border protection management, cooperating to help rescue natural disasters, epidemics, and solving climate problems (pollution) that occur along the border area, and to keep on contributing in strengthening the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations and armies, Laos-Vietnam and Vietnam-Laos in dept.
In addition, both sides reached a consensus on all reviewed items and reaffirmed that their ongoing cooperation has actively contributed to the national defense, protection, and development of both nations. The meeting concluded with the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
