Remain bones of VVSEs handed over to send home

(LPAN) On May 16, 2024, Special Operation Committee of Vientiane Capital Military Headquarters (VCMH) of the Lao PDR and Special Operation Committee of Tinh Thua thien Hue Province of Vietnam held a ceremony to hand over the remain bones of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Experts (VVSEs) who sacrificed their lives in international mission operation in Lao territory during the war time in order to send them back to hometown in Vietnam so that their relatives and authorities traditionally held funeral ceremony. Taking part in the ceremony were Brig. Gen. Phouvan Phimmachan, Political Chief Commander of Saravan military Headquarter, Head of Special Operation Committee of VCMH and representatives of Vietnam led by Mr. Ong HouangVanhNam, Head of Special Operation Committee. The two Special Operation Committees have cooperated in searching, unearthing and collecting the remain ones of VVSEs who sacrificed their lives in international mission operation in Lao during the war time, 2 remain bones have been found and the handing over ceremony was taken place in Vientiane Capital in order to send the said remain bones back to hometown in Vietnam so that their relatives and authorities traditionally held funeral ceremony.
