Ministry of Defence as a host 21st ASEAN Regional Forum Security Policy Conference

On during 1-3 July 2024, the Ministry of Defence as a host the 21st ASEAN Regional Forum Security Policy Conference that held in Luangprabang Province under the chairmanship of Maj. Gen. Saijay Kormasith Deputy Minister of Defence and also Chief Senior ASEAN Defence Officer Of the Lao PDR, delegates with teams from 19 countries, ASEAN Secretariat and European Union joined.
On this meeting, the delegates of each country exchanged views on the current and future challenges to security in the region and the Asia-Pacific region, discussed appropriate measures to solve various challenges, promoting confidence-building measures to strengthen regional security and the role of the military in the dealing with the effects of climate change in the 21st century.
This meeting was successfully conducted according to the expected level and the next meeting will be chaired by Malaysia. Which will continue to host the 22nd ASEAN Regional Forum Security Policy Conference.
