Lao – Vietnamese Local Military Provinces meet to discuss defence issues

(LPAN) Lao and Vietnamese local Savannakhet Provincial Military Headquarters (SPMH) led by its Military Chief Commander, Brig. Gen. Sy Thavixay and Quang Tri Military Province Headquarters led by Col. Nguyen Vhe Danh met to discuss border issue Savanakhet Provincial Military Headquarters of the Lao PDR on during17-78, November, in which there were technical officers from both sides taking place.
This occasion, there were several issues raising into discussion between the two sides regarding to friendship relation and solidarity especially cooperation in maintaining security and orders along the borders to prevent illegal immigration and trading over the past year.
The two sides also discussed about joint operation in searching the remain bones of Vietnamese Volunteered Soldiers and Experts who sacrificed their lives in Lao territory particularly in Savannakhet Province during the wartime to bring back to their homeland in Vietnam as well.
