Regiment 497 conducts its annual Political and Military training

(LPAN) On February 6, 2025, Regiment 497 conducted a 180 days its annual political-military training for officers and combatants. Honorably taking part in the opening ceremony was Brig. Gen. Bountiene Xay-yumvongthan, Director of 49 Department and there were Party-Command Committee of the regiment, concerning officers, trainers and trainees taking place.
“The training aims to provide knowledge and competence to personnel to have breakthrough revolutionary ideology against all tricks of peaceful change of enemy and understand both theory and practice about rules and 7 regimes 18 daily routines of the army, theory and military art, basic principles of infantry tactics,” according to its Training Section, Lt. Col. Sayphin Phanthuolith.
This ocassion, Brig. Gen. Ounthong Boutsouvan called for trainers to put all effort in transferring knowledge of military and politics to all trainees by strictly implementing resolutions and orders of higher leadership to effectively achieve the expecting goals.
