GSD reviews building up strong and comprehensive leadership party units

(LPAN) On June 5, 2025, Party-Command Committee of the General Staff Department (GSD) held a meeting to review its annual the implementation of building up strong units and comprehensive leadership party units movement in 2024 and approved a further year plan.
The meeting was under the chairmanship of its Director of the General Staff Department, Maj. Gen. Saychay Khoumasith, , and there were party-command committee, commanding and prominent officers and all party members around the GSD taking part in.
According to a briefing reported at the meeting by Head of Political Office, Col. Bouakham Samavong, all party-committees under GSD have paid attention in building up strong units and comprehensive leadership party units along with the implementation of five standards in building up cultural personnel and cultural military units and implementation of 4 Major work plans and 26 projects issued by Defence Ministry’s Party Committee.
This occasion, Maj. Gen. Saychay Khoumasith gave guidance to all party members around the GSD to pay attention in educating political ideology, improving military art and skill to officers and combatants in order to fulfill all of their political missions in personnel campaigning management, conducting maintenance of equipment by checking and cleaning armored vehicles including armored tanks and armored personnel carriers to effectively ensure the mission of combat readiness.
