Presiden Thongloun Sisoulith visits Division 5

(LPAN) On January, 2024, President Thongloun Sisoulith accompanied by Deputy Minister of Defence Lt. Gen. Vongkham Phoumakonh visited military officers and combatants at Division 5, on occasion the 75th Anniversary of the Lao People’s Army Founding Day (20/01/1949-20/01/2024). There, they were warmly welcomed by Party-Command Committee, Commanding and Prominent Officers of the Division.
At the reception of Division 5, Col. Thongsamay Soukphasert, Political Chief Commander of the Division, reported about the situation of Defence Mission assignment implementation including security and orders maintenance task, political grass-root building along with rural development task in accordance with 4 contents and 4 expectations, to get local authorities and people involved in national defence mission and military barracks and living condition improvement task as well as implementation of 4 major work plans and 26 projects issued by Defense Ministry Party Committee.
This occasion, President Thongloun Sisoulith expressed his compliment to all levels of the party-command committees of Division 5 in their tirelessly striving to fulfill honorably political mission assigned with the two 2 strategic functions; safeguarding, construction and developing the country under the leadership of our party-state. He also gave guidance about the party-state guidelines in building up armed forces to become strength, discipline and modernization to meet the need of national defending mission in the new era.
