Leadership Committee of Savanaketh Provonce Hands over patrol boats to SPMH

(LPAN) On January 16, 2024, there was a ceremony to hand over ten patrol boats to Savanaketh Provincial Military Headquarters (SPMH). Taking part in the ceremony were Mr. Bouncoom Oubonpasert, Governor of Savanaketh Province and Brig. Gen. Si Thavyxay, Political Chief Commander of SPMH, and there were party- command committee, invited guests, officers and combatants around the headquarters taking place.
This occasion, Brig. Gen. Si Thavyxay expressed his complement to Leadership Committee of Savanaketh for handing over two patrol boats to SPMH to use in safeguarding the security and stability along the Mekong River. The Mekong River forms mostly natural border between Lao PDR and its neighboring country of Thailand in general and in particular between Savanaketh Province of Laos and Moukdahan Province of Thailand where there has ever been illegal crossing border including human and drug trafficking.
