Division 5 reviews its comprehensively annual defence mission

(LPAN) On October 21, 2024, Division 5 held a meeting to review its comprehensively annual defence mission and approved a further plan. The meeting was presided by Deputy Minister of Defence, Lt. Gen. Khamlieng Outhakaysone, and there were Party-Command Committees, Representatives from division taking place. During the meeting, Lt. Gen. Khamlieng Outhakaysone summarized the defence mission implementation having been carried out by all personnel in the army over the past year pointing out that military personnel have fulfilled the assigned mission in maintaining peace and security and implementation of four major work plans and 26 projects issued by Ministry of Lao National Defence Party Committee. Then, he emphasized to the party- command committees to pay attention in building up movements focusing on political and ideological training and educating officers and combatants and continue sending technical officers to build political grass-roots and rural development to improve local authority systems and help people develop their quality of lives in accordance with our party-state guidelines and policies of poverty eradication by propagating and campaigning people to widely participate in socio-economic development plan implementation. Finally, he called for the party- command committees to pay attention to build model regiment following 3 guided directions and 5 principles of party building up in order to fulfill the assigned tasks of maintaining peace, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity to ease Lao multiethnic people to contribute in safeguarding and constructing the nation to become prosperous country.
