The handover ceremony Director of the Ministry of Defense Office between Brig. Gen. Dueansavanh Sayphim Khampathum (old) and Maj. Gen. Somphone Mittaphone, Director of the Ministry of Defense (new) was held on January 27, 2025, chaired by Lt. Gen. Khamleng Uthakaisone, Minister of Defense, with the participation of the leadership of the departments, corps, the Ministry of Defense Office, and relevant parties. This occasion, Lt. Gen. Khamleng Uthakaisone, urged the newly appointed to pay attention in upholding their high responsibilities to guide and command officers to strengthen their solidarity in implementation of building up the Lao People’ Army towards strength and modernization.
